Between 9/1 and 9/10, the Bastrop shelter took in 111 animals. They were even closed for a holiday and 3 normal closed days within that time frame. That means in 6 days, they got an average of 18.5 animals a day. Did you know...the shelter has ~ 80 normal kennels(some are used for quarantine) ?? With extremely slow adoptions and non-existent rescue pulls (because they are in the same boat!) how they surviving? They aren’t! Please Spay & Neuter! Please Adopt! Please Foster! Please Volunteer! Puppies and dogs are dying and we are TIRED! It’s not fair to these innocent creatures because of irresponsible humans. Please, do your part. We are begging you!
