Did you know that dogs enjoy listening to people reading books?  Choose a short story, poems, or a chapter in a longer tale to read to your dog.  Make yourself and your dog comfortable – sit on a blanket together.   Get cozy on a pillow or dog bed. 

Don’t have your own dog? No problem!  Consider visiting the Bastrop County Animal Shelter and reading to some lonely dogs. They will love the attention and it helps them relax.
