SPAY/NEUTER MAKES A HUGE DIFFERENCE…

Did you know that we have prevented over 4000 unwanted dogs and cats from being born in Bastrop County since we started our spay/neuter subsidy programs in May, 2020?  And yet – the shelter is still being overwhelmed with kittens and puppies that people don’t want.  What can you do?  Spread the word about our programs for low-income pet owners. We fund most or all of the spay/neuter surgery cost for pets of people who can’t afford it. We will even help find a veterinarian who can handle more difficult spay/neuter cases for pets with pre-existing health conditions, if necessary.
