Since there are more animals needing adoption than there are adopters in Bastrop County, the shelter makes use of adoption sites in the Austin area (especially PetsMart) on certain weekends. 

Sitting in kennels outside can get HOT in Central Texas, so Shelter Pet Safety Net sponsored some portable misting fan units to keep the animals cool.  Multiple battery packs will let these run all day.   

We’re sure the potential adopters will appreciate the cool as well!
