One thing to keep in mind is that working hands-on with the animals at the shelter is different than working with SPSN. The shelter is run by the County, and they have different rules and a different application process for their volunteers.  Many of our volunteers are also shelter volunteers, but it’s not a requirement to volunteer for us.
